Endoscopy is a minimally invasive method that allows to look inside the tubular organs like intestine and others.
What is endoscopy?
In veterinary practice, endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical procedure that involves the use of an endoscope, a long, flexible tube to which a light and camera are attached. The endoscope is introduced into the body through natural openings or small incisions to gain access to the interior without the need for open surgery.
During an endoscopy, the veterinarian can examine and take pictures of organs, tissues, and cavities such as the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, urinary tract, and joint spaces.
In our hospital, we offer an endoscopic examination of the nasal cavity and trachea, pharynx and stomach, and, if necessary, a colonoscopy. It is worth noting that due to the well-being and comfort of the animal, this examination is performed exclusively under general anesthesia.
